About Us
SOTE therapy is a speech and language therapy service that supports parents and educational settings in providing bespoke interventions for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
​We are a London-based service with experience working in clinic, mainstream school and special school settings.
​
We are members of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and work according to their code of ethics.
​
We believe every child and young person should have the opportunity to nurture their ability, achieve their potential, lead a good quality of life and make a positive contribution in their community.
How we help
SOTE provides services for school-aged children and young people between the ages of 4 to11 years with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) such as and associated with:
Attention and Listening difficulties
Auditory Processing Difficulties
Delayed play skills
Difficulties with understanding language
Delayed/disordered spoken language
Developmental Language Disorder
Delayed/disordered speech development
Difficulties with social interaction and social communication
Dysfluency (stammering)
Hearing Loss

We offer services to schools and families in South West London
Telephone Consultation
20 minutes to discuss queries about your child
Initial Assessment
Includes case history, informal/ formal assessments, verbal summary and advice, with or without a written report
Therapy
Carried out in clinic or at school, dependent on needs
Programme
Provision of strategies or programme to be carried out at home and/or in school
School Interventions
Therapy intervention setup jointly with the Speech and Language Therapist, to be delivered by school staff and reviewed at the end of a block of therapy
Specialist Deaf Service
Support services for children and young people with sensorineural hearing loss
Home School Service
Package of care for families of children who are home schooled, considered on a case by case basis
